What have I missed?

What have I missed?

Yay! It’s been six months! I can’t believe I’ve made it this far : P
I want to thank you all for your sweet comments, following and returning visits. They mean so much to me : ) Okay, maybe it’s a little cheesy to put it that way. I have a giveaway coming up soon. Leave a comment and tell me what you guys are interested in getting!

Back to the outfit. I did a similar outfit earlier this year. I like to call this kind of layering the “superhero effect”, because it creates a cape-like effect when I’m walking and it feels like, well, superhero : P It’s definitely a fun way to dress up but try to stick with muted colours or it may look somewhat clowny. I got this Monki dress from last season. I don’t think they still have the exact same piece but they do have some versatile pieces for layering.

I’m kinda obsessed with ankle-length button-down shirt dresses this spring. From Stella McCartney’s Chilling in the Mediterranean type to Michael Kor’s Safari-inspired type, they just look effortless! I’m also in love with this peach peasant dress by Fendi. All you have to do is cinch it up with a skinny belt and slip on your favourite pair of sandals, and you’re all set!

I always like to layer a button-up shirt over my summer basics, but it always end up looking baggy. Autilia’s denim shirt with cut-out shoulder details is the perfect solution for a causal sexy look! I may not have Nicole Warne’s unique features or her perfect hair, but I’m happy to be inspired by her fabulous style.  I love the way she worn her sheer peach shirt and paired it with simple leather shorts. Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication – for some people : )  Jennifer from Agogo Fashion is giving us the ultra-sexy superhero effect : ) You see, to conceal is to reveal in style. I’m a fan.

For Japan.

For Japan.

(Zara shirt, H&M dress, Topshop straw hat, vintage handbag from Poland, Max oxfords)

We all know about the devastating earthquake and deadly neuclear aftermath in Japan. What can we do apart from making donations and praying for those who are  facing the disaster. Sam from Sam is Home emailed Chictopia about her idea of wearing red as to commemorate all that has happened in Japan. Thanks to that Chictopia is now hosting a campaign called “Wear Red Wear Hope” in collaboration with the Red Cross.

“The fashion community can not only inspire what people wear daily, but we have a voice that can call other people into action at a time of crisis and loss.” – Sam from Sam is Home

My Wear Red Wear Hope outfit consists of a fruit and floral print Zara shirt, a midi H&M skirt in vibrant red colour and a Topshop straw hat with flower adornments – symbolising life and hope. I hope you enjoy this ourfit! Please spread the word and show your support for Japan!

Join Chictopia’s Wear Red Wear Hope Campaign by uploading a picture of yourself wearing one red item. Also, donate US$10 to Red Cross Japan earthquake and tsunami relief funds. For more detail please click here.
And now, my favourite Ladies in Red : )

Have a lovely day!

All those beautiful pearls.

Photographs by dear mom (I know you’re spying on me in your office, now go back to work!)

(Topshop stripes cardigan and straw hat, H&M top and belt, American Apparel high-waisted short, Vintage handbag and unknown brand pink peep toe, jewellery by Nataliaraya.)

This outfit is probably not very me… I mean Barbie peep toes? Princess pink? Shorts!!? Well, I’m open to all options you know. I’m loving these American Apparel shorts. They are probably the only pair of shorts that I would ever want to wear, because the bottom of the shorts are so wide they actually look like a skirt. (I got one size too big though, click here to see what I mean.) The pink heels are old ones, so if you want something like that I would suggest a pair with concealed platforms.

Here you go the second part of the jewellery feature. These delicate little pearl and silver flowers are Natalia’s signiture  designs, simple but they’ll never run out of fashion. She doesn’t know yet but I’m gonna ask her to design my wedding jewelry (NOT that I’m getting married anytime soon.) : P
Apparently the artist is on vacation at the moment, but don’t hesitate to leave her message if you want something. Check out her Blog/Etsy Shop/Facebook Page.

Marc Jacobs’ collection is probably my favourite show for Spring 2011, he really knows how to dress up a girl and make her feel pretty, even in the simplest clothes; I don’t really understand fashion, but Sonia Rykiel’s clothes make me happy. I mean, what are you looking for, if not good feelings? I have mixed feelings on DVF’s Spring collection, but the bold print and these skorts(?) have won me over.

Goodbye for now, sweet Vienna.

Goodbye for now, sweet Vienna.

Can’t believe it’s time to say goodbye again… I really love the city now after spending a month actually LIVING in it.  I used to be a frequent traveler (by frequent I mean out-of-control) and now I think I found the place (more importantly the person) to settle down with. It feels scary but pretty amazing. Now I’m heading to my hometown for Chinese New Year with family (believe me there’s nothing more important than CNY for us). I have no clue what will come my way in the next couple of months, wish me good luck : )

About the outfit: This is probably my last outfit for the winter season (style-wise). I only have a small part of my closet with me and the outfits are starting to look repetative. I’m so bored with the dirty neutrals now I need some bright colours for my Spring 2011. (But I genuinely hope you’re still gonna like and comment on this on : P ). Have a lovely evening.

Sunset on the Danube

Walking on the beautiful streets of the former capital of a gigantic empire, one can never be disappointed by the well-dressedness of its senior citizens. All their fancy fur coats, clouch hats and dainty handbags had made me jealous everytime when I walk down the Mariahilfer Straße. This look is inspired, from head to toe, by the stylish old ladies in Vienna. The gloves, the hat, the fur collar and little handbag (which is perfect to punch your gentleman right at the belly.) The way they pay attention to details is very 1920s.
That was a lovely afternoon. We took a walk along the Danube River and then to the Cafe Central for a piece Sachertorte. I call it the Viennese perfection.

Finally I have recieved my Jeffrey Campbell order from Solestruck.com! I love them so much (yea, so much I forget about the fact that I have to pay Austrian custom €78 for nothing.) This is a look I had in mind for a very long time. I know there’s a lot of drama going on, but with the simple colour combination it’s actually fairly wearable. I love playing with different hemlines, this is my minimum/maximum look. I hope you like it!

Photographs by Tituz

I know it’s very very late for a happy new year post, but it’s very sincere : ) I’m in Vienna again, and we are about to move in to our brand new apartment. Starting a new life in another city is very challenging and tiring, and things are definitely not working for us lately… ( We don’t even have internet in the new place yet! yea.. I’m a blogger without internet at the moment. ) I hope the coming days of 2011 are not as tough as its beginning, and I wish you all Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas : )

Merry Christmas from the beautiful Alps : ) Lately it’s really bad weather throughout Europe and I wish the sun will shine really soon. I’m wearing a brick red blazer from H&M (which is strictly for indoor occasions only) and a floral skirt from Topshop. I’m also wearing gold jewelry and heavy gold gliters on my eye makeup. As Carrie Bradshaw said, we all need some sparkles in life ; ) Forgive those extra fat on my belly, I’m currently being fed like livestock by my boyfriend’s mom… (with incredibly delicious Tyrolean food : 0 )

This months feature is a young musician who´s definetly worth to look out for. Jacques Greene is a 21 year old kid from Montreal producing tracks that seem to stuck somewhere between House and Dubstep. “The Look” which is the title track of his first EP released on LuckyMe starts off deeply and keeps us there until the kickdrum comes in and concentrated streams of synths are pushing it to the climax. The Video comes with models Nicole Brand and Bobbi Kay so you fashion bloggers have something to kick about! 😉 / tituz

Bon Voyage!

I’m wearing a slouchy knitted top with myTopshop frill skirt, favourite item from Topshop this  season. I know I’ve been wearing the same pair of boots for a few posts now, but bear with me because they are just so comfy : P I’ve completed the look with a new bowler hat and a lovely leather belt. What should I say, I love trying out all the different hemlines. Hope you’ll enjoy this post. The next one will be coming from Austria!

Bon Voyage!
