Fail proof color palette.

(Zara blouse and heels, Topshop skirt & vintage velvet blazer)

I’m really into simple outfits with statement pieces. Not only do they keep me presentable for my day job but they also make my mornings much easier. During busy days I adopt  my color fail proof color palette – blacks, golds and whites. Coz even though I’m lazy as hell, the last thing I want is to look underdressed – pain of being a Style Voyager : P

Afternoon at Sam’s.

Afternoon at Sam’s.

Photographs by dear Sam : )

Last Sunday I spent the afternoon at Sam’s home – OMG the famous home of Sam! As my post number drops drastically this month Sam decided to help me out, so we went on a mission for photographing each other in 33 degree Hong Kong. In these pictures I was mainly wearing clothes from Sam’s closet, because I was in such a rush and didn’t prepare for the shoot : P

Despite the 15cm height difference and a on-going arguement about curves – Sam and I actually have a lot in common : )

1. Fairly akward in most social occasions.
2. Inability to deal with mathematics and sports.
3. A tendancy to speak with British accent while suffering from semi-heat strokes.

… and the list goes on…

What I’m trying to say is, I’m glad that we found each other through the blog : )

Crystal interviewed me for a EIU article on Chictopia about dressing tips for petites. Uh I do not think those tips are super helpful as I tend to deny the fact that, well, I’m in that particular category : P However, Crystal managed to make a lovely article and a good selection of photos that summaries my tips. So go check it out here!

I’m trying to get more posts up this week.
Thank you for staying with me!

Inspired by the winter sun.

Inspired by the winter sun.

Growing up in a sub-tropical concrete jungle like Hong Kong I’ve never quite realise the importance of sunlight (cox there’s either too much sunlight you want to get rid of it or you’re staying indoor all the time anyways.) But here in the middle of Europe, the sun is really affecting everyone’s life. This afternoon we took a walk along the Mariahilfer Straße (the main shopping street in Vienna), the weather was so lovely. The temperature is still low, but Spring is just around the corner. I’m slowing building up a ‘transitional’ wardrobe for the upcoming days.

In these photos I paired a cozy cable kintted jumper from Topshop with my sheer Asos lace skirt to reduce the heaviness of winter clothing. I’m also wearing my Jeffrey Campbell wedges with some H&M black tights. Accessory-wise I’m wearing a warm cable knitted scarf from Topshop. Oh, and one of my new faves: the grandma handbag from flee market.

It’s time to post a protrait of the man behind the camera and the loving boyfriend of mine : P, looking nice and stylish in his American Apparel coat and H&M scarf.

After the shooting he took me to a shoe store and ‘forced’ me to get these Oxford flats. Reason? ‘High heels are really bad for your feet! And everything you have are with heels.’ What should I say : P
Thank you babe.

Have a nice day : )

Finally I have recieved my Jeffrey Campbell order from Solestruck.com! I love them so much (yea, so much I forget about the fact that I have to pay Austrian custom €78 for nothing.) This is a look I had in mind for a very long time. I know there’s a lot of drama going on, but with the simple colour combination it’s actually fairly wearable. I love playing with different hemlines, this is my minimum/maximum look. I hope you like it!

In my red high heels

The silhouette of this outfit is very Asian. With the loose-fitting pants and the cutting of the top resembling Mandarin gown in a way, the outfit keeps reminding me of a lady from Shanghai back in the old days. These bright red heels have given an extra hint of orientalism to the look. I love the boldness and the harmony. Hope you’ll like it too!

Little Black Dress : )

What you see in these pictures is a  happy girl in her favourite little black dress, latina necklace and tapestried  handbag. I have nothing special to say because they’re all very personal. Allow me to be dainty and fragile from time to time. I hope you enjoy the look as much as I do.
