All those beautiful pearls.

All those beautiful pearls.

Photographs by dear mom (I know you’re spying on me in your office, now go back to work!)

(Topshop stripes cardigan and straw hat, H&M top and belt, American Apparel high-waisted short, Vintage handbag and unknown brand pink peep toe, jewellery by Nataliaraya.)

This outfit is probably not very me… I mean Barbie peep toes? Princess pink? Shorts!!? Well, I’m open to all options you know. I’m loving these American Apparel shorts. They are probably the only pair of shorts that I would ever want to wear, because the bottom of the shorts are so wide they actually look like a skirt. (I got one size too big though, click here to see what I mean.) The pink heels are old ones, so if you want something like that I would suggest a pair with concealed platforms.

Here you go the second part of the jewellery feature. These delicate little pearl and silver flowers are Natalia’s signiture  designs, simple but they’ll never run out of fashion. She doesn’t know yet but I’m gonna ask her to design my wedding jewelry (NOT that I’m getting married anytime soon.) : P
Apparently the artist is on vacation at the moment, but don’t hesitate to leave her message if you want something. Check out her Blog/Etsy Shop/Facebook Page.

Marc Jacobs’ collection is probably my favourite show for Spring 2011, he really knows how to dress up a girl and make her feel pretty, even in the simplest clothes; I don’t really understand fashion, but Sonia Rykiel’s clothes make me happy. I mean, what are you looking for, if not good feelings? I have mixed feelings on DVF’s Spring collection, but the bold print and these skorts(?) have won me over.

Spring is quite a feminine season for me, in terms of dressing up. It’s the perfect season for items like midi skirts and 3/4 sleeves tops. I found this hot red full skirt in H&M.  I was amazed by how much visual drama it creates, definitely a must-have piece for every girl. Not gonna talk too much this time, the post is getting longer each time : P

You’ve probably noticed these lovely jewels by now. They are all handmade pieces by a very talented young (and beautiful :0 ) artist from Costa Rica – Natalia Araya. I’ve been a huge fan of her designs, and these little Ojitos are my favourites from her. Visit her blog www.gravitando.wordpress.com to see how she works her magic : D (More features coming up in the next post!)

It’s all on the shoulders! Etro’s beautiful ethnic designs for Spring has all the desirable shoulder details. Oh and the puffy sleeves; It’s about time to get rid of the winter shades and put on some Hot red! I’m loving this dress from Brioni’s Spring collection; This black dress by Miu Miu with latticework details on the neckline is a piece of highly-wearable art.

All these womanly full skirts are absolutely beautiful. Dreamy neutrals or bold bright colours, a full skirt is always the best girly solution : )

Finally I’m back to Hong Kong! After two months of intense traveling and adapting to different climates, I’m now ready to settle down : ) I can finally concentrate on the blog again : ) Some new things are coming up such as giveaways and maybe… a blogshop? I don’t know yet, but at least I can afford to work on those now.

If you love Topshop you’ll recognise the print of this skirt at first glance. It has this elegant lady-like silhouette, which is flattering to many body types,  but when it moves it’s very revealing. The sandals are my absolute favourite, I love chunkiness on my feet : P (They are kinda difficult to walk in though). Hope you’ll like this one.

YSL’s figure-hugging pencil skirts with a flamengo twist; drappy jersey dress with a side slit and leather stripes platform sandals from Michael Kors SS2011; Roland Mouret’s mid-calf pencil skirt with a bold print.

I’m having a serious crash on Jonathan Saunders’ Fall collection! All these sophisticated use of bold colours and abstract prints,  side-slitted sexiness versus below-the-knee formality remind me of a bright young woman, who is  intimadatingly elegant but also witty and flirty (if you’re lucky). Every piece is to die for : o
