No balloon for a 24-year-old.

Photographs by dear mom : )

(Diane Von Furstenberg dress via Net-a-porter.com, Asos clutch and bangle, Unknow brand wedges.)

Okay, this is just gonna be a quick post on my birthday outfit. I ordered this DVF dress especially for my birthday! Personally I  think it’s a very pretty dress, the only problem was the size 2 dress is way too big for me I had to ask my mom to chop off 3 inches… ( sorry Ms. DVF, I didn’t mean to alter your design. But I’m kind of a midget you know.. ) The Asos clutch is lovely and I would probably order it in another colour.

By the way, thank you again everyone for the lovely gifts! I’ve never received so many birthday gifts in my life as my birthday was always in the summer holiday back in school days : P Thank you so much, I’m absolutely in love with everything that was gifted to me!

I really really wish I can have the time to write more, reply comments and emails… but at the moment it’s just kinda difficult : ( I hope you had a lovely weekend!

ART HK 11 and other blogger activities : )

I was in ART HK 11 with Sam from Sam is Home and Tania from T Likes Bubble Tea last Saturday (or the one before?). It’s funny because I was never the artistic girl and I didn’t know what to expect for such a huge exhibition. It was so overwhelming and our time was limited. We only managed to stop by a few booths that really caught our attention.

(Uh.. is it weird that I really like his hair?)

The guy from Indonesian artist Syagini Ratna Wulan’s booth took this polaroid photo of the three of us. In case you can’t read Sam’s handwriting, it says “TSS Likes Bubble Tea At Home with The Style Voyager.” Finally we have a photo together : ) And in case you’re wondering, we didn’t plan for those ridiculous white blazer uniform!

I took a few photos of Sam and Tania’s outfit but definitely go to their blogs for more : )
I love the flower on Hannah! It’s so sweet on her and it matches perfectly with the dress she’s wearing.

I went to a high tea in Mandarin Oriental with Sam and her friends. It was a lovely high tea with the girls, they are all so adorable. Thank you for sharing your lovely stories : )
I’m not the type of person that would spend too much time and money on food… but their scones… you shouldn’t miss their scones : 0 If you’re in Hong Kong for a visit, go get their Rose Petal Jam it’s the best present EVER!

Later that night Sam and I met up with Denise from Superwowomg. We had Mexican food in Soho and had a great time talking about everything – from fashion to high school bullying – turned out we were all bullied in school… is that a common thing for fashion bloggers? Anyways, Denise and I were asked by Sam to make faces according to what she said… I’m not sure if what the first two were, but the last one was “fashion blogger!” Guess who failed!? : P Say hi to denise!

These are photos taken from the Spring Collection lounge party of designer Susanne Ngao, also a friend of Sam. The clothes are really pretty, probably a little too sexy for my taste. But Tania looks great in them! Check out the store on Elgin Street!

Notice the height difference between me and normal women?haha, stay happy and inspired! I have an outfit post coming up soon!
Oh by the way my post “Day and Night” was featured on Freshly Pressed. I just want to say thank you for all of you who left me a comment, it’s very very sweet of you!

Confession of a lazy blogger and shoe-a-holic : P

Photographs by dear mom : )

(Apparel: Free People Platform sandals, H&M blazer, sunglasses and skorts, vintage bangles)
(Nails: Chanel Steel Le Vernis on fingers; Ogre-the-top Blue by O.P.I on toes.)

Okay girls, I have two things to confess: First, I’m the laziest fashion blogger in town; Second, I’m buying way to many shoes lately : (
These Free People platforms are amazing – so amazing I even found myself lounging in them at home – I just couldn’t take them off! Seriously I don’t know what to do with these shoes after this season… any advice?

Life is all about working lately. I’m building up a blog for my company and it’s now published. I’m so happy to have Mr. Blake Jacobsen to be our first featured blogger. Visit the blog here, or directly to Q&A with Blake.

The weather’s getting better and I’m gonna have my day-offs (finally!). Hopefully I can bring you some street style photos in the next post. Stay happy and inspired.

The Style Voyager’s… on vacation (and back!)

Photographs by Sam from Sam is Home : )

(Zara top, Topshop dress, H&M sandals and sunglasses, vintage necklace.)

Hey everyone! (I know I’ve been seriously slacking on the blog… but I’m going to post more regularly from now on.)

I’m back from my holiday trip to Thailand.  If you missed my quick message here it is again: The giveaway was closed on 8th and I’ve already contacted all my winners. (Two of you still haven’t replied to my messages yet, go check your facebook inbox girls!) Thank you for participating, the next one is coming up soon! The Style Voyager is going to be six-month old on 20th, April, time for celebration : P

I’m busy dealing with the photos I took during the trip. There are so many but I promise they’re gonna be up real soon. This is a post I’ve been working on for a while now. Hope you enjoy it : )

I was wearing a Topshop dress as skirt in the photos. I love the ruffle details on the waist and the bottom of the dress. But once again it is a UK size 8 and it is a little too long for my height (sigh.) As for the the accessories, I was wearing these adorable H&M sandals (they are usually really comfortable, but no so much walking up and down hills.) These H&M sunglasses are my new favourite. They are really wide but not so opaque, very balanced choice for Spring. Sorry for the silly dance moves, I couldn’t help it : P

(Apfelstrudel mit schlag – Apfelstrudel with cream; Tania from T Like Bubble Tea; Sam from Sam is Home with her “Hot and Spicy” manicure; Old photos of Vienna on display in Cafe Loisl.)

Sweet Tania from T Like Bubble Tea introduced me and Sam Cafe Loisl during a recent meet-up.

This lovely Viennese cafe is located on a quiet terrace in Sheung Wan. Run by a Austrian/German couple living in Hong Kong, Cafe Loisl has the closest you can get to the true Viennese flavour. It’s a cozy pocket-size version of the magnificant Cafe Central in Vienna, with Sachertorte and Mozart chocolates in gilded glass containers on permenant display (How much better can you get in Hong Kong!!). I ordered a Apfelstrudel with cream. Usually my first choice would be Gugelhupf with cream but the cafe only serves it on weekends. They have some seriously good coffee, so good that I decided to bring my mom for another visit : P

(Sig. Barista Appassionato; Green Tea Cheese Cake; Karottenkuchen)

Here are some pictures taken on my second visit. I was really impressed by how passionate the Barista (in the picture above) is about making coffee. The coffee is decent and the service excellent. It just feels  so much better than the bad chain store coffee we Hong Kong people are suffering from.
I’m a fan of Viennese Cafe culture. Cafe Loisl may not be the palace-like Viennese Cafe you’re picturing in your head, (in fact they don’t even have the right furniture yet… )but it offers just the right amount of European flavour and coziness most of us are looking for.
